Houston was honoured with the visit of the Grand Mufti of Pakistan, Mufti Muneeb al-Rahman, from 25th September to 30th September. During his short stay, he delivered the Friday Speech at the Masjid, participated in the annual Al-Noor Mawlid al-Nabi programmes, as well as numerous private Mawlid events in homes throughout the city. During his visit, Mufti Sahib was informed of the latest developments at the mosque, and he offered his priceless advice to us all.
Al-Noor Masjid has always taken great pride in its affiliation with some of the most important Islamic scholars of the Muslim community. It was truly a humbling honour for the Mosque to host Mufti Sahib, who found time in his busy schedule to bless us with his presence. We devoutly pray for his health, and pray he remains a beacon of light for the Muslim Ummah for many years to come, amin.
